Yummy Viral Tik Tok Boursin Pasta…but from scratch
I’ll admit it—I was tempted by all the fun TikToks of everyone making the viral Boursin pasta. But when it comes to processed foods, I try to steer clear, no matter how appealing the label might be. Don’t get me wrong—sometimes convenience wins, and that’s totally fine.
But this time, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Buckle up, because we’re making an easy, irresistibly delicious homemade herbed “Boursin” pasta that’s smooth, creamy, and bursting with herbal goodness. And the best part? No store-bought Boursin here—I make it myself with just a few simple ingredients, so I know exactly what’s in it. Let’s do this!
Here’s why I love this “Boursin” pasta
- It is a mouthwatering combination of toasted, cheesy goodness and perfectly tender veggies.
- To take it up a notch, I toss in fresh spinach, savory mushrooms, and juicy cherry tomatoes.
- The whole dish comes together in one pan and couldn’t be easier to make.
- Pair it with your favorite noodles or swap in spaghetti squash for a lighter twist!
- This makes a fantastic vegetarian dish or add protein. Its versatile for all dietary preferences.
You can also toss in some rotisserie chicken in when you roast it for a complete meal. If you are not a fan of spaghetti squash, making homemade pasta noodles is super easy (don’t be scared). I love pasta dishes and have an entire collection you should check out. Let me know how it goes in the comments.
Visual Process for Making From Scratch “Boursin” Pasta
Step 1
Roast Spaghetti Squash
Cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, score and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt. Roast it up until its nice and soft and the strands release easily.
Step 2
Make Boursin-Like Cheese
Combine the cheese ingredients and then shape it into a round circle in the middle of the casserole dish.
Step 3
Add Veggies
Add mushrooms (not really a veggie), cherry tomatoes (technically a fruit) and spinach (also not a veggie, right? Lettuce is lettuce, not a veggie).
Step 4
Bake The Sauce
Bake it all up until toasted and golden.
Step 5
Toss With Noodles
Then stir it together. Toss with the squash noodles or regular noodles and serve it up with some chicken.
