Loaded Candy Apple Salad
This Loaded Candy Apple Salad is packed with crunchy apples, candy, and creamy cheesecake pudding—perfect for a fun and indulgent Halloween treat!
I know what you’re thinking: this Loaded Candy Apple Salad recipe isn’t made with God-given ingredients. And you’re right! I fully acknowledge it. I didn’t have time to make my own Oreos, and let’s be real, I wouldn’t even know where to start with homemade M&Ms! So, in the spirit of Halloween indulgence, I’m giving myself a pass and adding this insanely good recipe to the blog.
Life’s about balance, right? Eating wholesome, God-given ingredients at almost every meal is good enough for me. And I hope this doesn’t offend anyone, because trust me, this Loaded Candy Apple Salad is ridiculously good! Plus, the toppings are a sweet nod to my kids’ favorite candy apple treats.

What You Need For Loaded Candy Apple Salad:
- Chopped Apples: Use green apples, red apples, or a mix! Cut them into cubes or matchsticks for that perfect bite.
- Cheesecake Pudding Mix: If you can’t find cheesecake flavor, vanilla works just as well.
- Whipped Topping: We’re talking heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and a dash of vanilla.
- Crushed Oreos: Because what’s a candy salad without a little crunch?
- M&Ms: I like the mini ones because they’re easy to eat, but go with your favorite.
- Milk Chocolate Chips: For that smooth, melty sweetness.
- Mini Marshmallows: Soft, chewy bites that give this salad a fun texture.
- Caramel Drizzle (Optional): It totally screams candy apple, doesn’t it?
Recipe Substitutions And Notes
- You can swap the homemade whipped topping for Cool Whip if that’s easier for you.
- This salad is so customizable—feel free to mix and match your favorite candies or add-ins!
Making Loaded Candy Apple Salad
- Start by cutting your apples into matchsticks. This gives the salad a great texture and makes mixing a breeze. In a medium bowl, combine cold water and salt, stirring until the salt dissolves. Add your chopped apples to the mixture and let them soak for about 45 seconds—this handy trick keeps the apples from turning brown. Drain the apples using a colander, then spread them out on paper towels to dry completely.
- Next, grab a chilled bowl and pour in your heavy whipping cream. Beat the cream on medium speed until it starts to thicken. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract (if you like) while whipping. Continue beating until soft peaks form, where the cream holds a soft shape.
- Once your whipped cream is light and fluffy, beat in cheesecake pudding mix until everything is smooth and creamy. Stir in crushed Oreos for a fun crunch and then gently fold in the apple sticks, making sure they’re evenly coated.
- Now, for the candy goodness! Mix in mini M&Ms, milk chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows for a sweet, chewy combo. For a finishing touch, top the salad with extra crushed Oreos and M&Ms for added texture and color.
- Cover the salad and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. If you’re feeling extra indulgent, drizzle some caramel sauce over the top just before serving. Enjoy this sweet and loaded salad that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

Loaded Candy Apple Salad
Ingredients
- 4 cups chopped apples (match sticks or cubes work great, green or red or a mix are fine)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional for flavor)
- 1 package Jello brand cheesecake pudding mix
- ¾ cup crushed Oreos (plus more for sprinkling on top)
- ½ cup mini M&Ms
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- optional: Caramel drizzle
Instructions
- Cut apples into matchsticks. In a bowl combine 4 cups of cold water and 4 tsp salt. When the salt is dissolved, add 4 cups chopped apples and soak for 45 seconds. This helps keep the apples from turning brown. Drain the apples in a colander and then dry them by spreading them out on paper towels.
- In the chilled bowl, pour in 1 cup heavy whipping cream and beat on medium speed. After a minute or so, it’ll start to thicken. Gradually add 2 tbsp powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract (if using) while beating. Continue whipping until soft peaks form (when you lift the beaters, the cream will hold a soft shape). Add 1 package Jello brand cheesecake pudding mix and continue to whisk until well-combined.
- Stir ¾ cup crushed Oreos into the whipped topping.
- Add apple sticks and stir to combine. Then add ½ cup mini M&Ms, ½ cup milk chocolate chips and 1 cup mini marshmallows. Stir to combine. Top with additional crushed Oreos and M&Ms.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
So creamy and delicious!
