Ingredients Without the Guilt

  • Fresh Blackberries: These juicy gems add a tart yet sweet burst to the drink.
  • Pink Sea Salt: Just a pinch elevates the flavor and gives it that signature margarita vibe.
  • Tequila Hornitos: A solid, smooth tequila that works beautifully in this recipe.
  • Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice: Fresh is key—gives that crisp, zesty bite that balances the sweetness.
  • Agave Syrup: It’s a lighter alternative to sugar and keeps the drink clean and simple.
  • Triple Sec, Cointreau, or Orange Juice: Triple sec is great, but if you’re looking to cut even more calories, orange juice is a lower-calorie option that still adds that citrusy punch.

How to Make Your Skinny Blackberry Margarita

  1. Muddle Fresh Blackberries and Salt: This is where you get the blackberry flavor to really shine. Grab some fresh blackberries, throw in a pinch of pink sea salt, and muddle them together. The salt helps bring out the natural sweetness in the berries—so good!
  2. Shake It All Up: Pour those muddled berries into a shaker, and then add 4 oz of tequila, 2 oz of fresh lime juice, 1 oz of agave syrup, 1 oz of Triple Sec (or orange juice if you’re going super skinny), and another pinch of pink sea salt. Give it a good shake!
  3. Serve Your Drink: Now, here’s the fun part—you don’t have to strain it! Keep those delicious blackberry bits in your drink for added texture and flavor. Pour it all into an ice-filled glass and garnish with more fresh blackberries.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Lower in Sugar: Thanks to using fresh ingredients and agave syrup, this margarita is much lighter than traditional versions.
  • Fresh and Fruity: The blackberries bring a natural sweetness that balances perfectly with the tart lime and smooth tequila.
  • Customizable: Want it a little sweeter? Add a touch more agave. Prefer it more tart? Squeeze in extra lime juice. You can make this your own!

This Skinny Blackberry Margarita is the ultimate go-to for summer barbecues, happy hours, or just a casual night in. With only a fraction of the calories of a regular margarita, it’s refreshing, flavorful, and light—so go ahead, pour yourself a glass (or two)!
