👩‍🍳 Amazing Greek Chicken Meatballs!

I’m all about a good meatball, and when you mix chicken with fresh herbs and lemon zest, it’s hard to beat. These Greek Chicken Meatballs are juicy, full of flavor, and loaded with lemon zest, fresh mint, red onion, and plenty of herby Greek seasoning. They’re light, bright, and seriously satisfying.

They work with just about anything. Serve them with a big scoop of tzatziki, a fresh cucumber-tomato salad, or some lemony orzo if you want to dress things up. They’re perfect for meal prep, easy to make on a weeknight, and good enough to share with friends or family.

They’re high in protein, full of fresh flavors, and taste nothing like bland “health food.” Just simple, delicious, and fuss-free. Substitutions
Consider adding ingredients like grated cheese, finely chopped vegetables, or spices to customize your meatballs.

Ground turkey is a great substitute for ground chicken in Greek meatballs. It offers a leaner option while still providing a delicious flavor. Just be mindful that turkey can be drier, so consider adding a bit more olive oil or an extra egg to the mixture for moisture.

How do I prevent my meatballs from being too sticky?

To prevent sticky meatballs, wet your hands with water or olive oil before shaping. This will help the meat mixture slide off your hands more easily. Additionally, chilling the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before shaping can make it less sticky.

More Mediterranean recipes!

If you’re anything like me, once you get a taste of those bold Mediterranean flavors, there’s no turning back. The garlic, the lemon, the fresh herbs, the salty little pops from olives and feta—ugh, chef’s kiss. I’ve got a whole lineup of Mediterranean-inspired recipes that are just as easy as they are flavorful, and honestly, they’ve been on heavy rotation at my house lately.

Let’s start with the Mediterranean Chicken with Potato Wedges—it’s a one-pan wonder that brings all the comfort of a sheet pan dinner, but with a zesty lemon-herb twist. Or go full cozy with One-Pan Mediterranean Chicken and Orzo, where tender chicken simmers with pasta, tomatoes, and herbs in one gloriously easy skillet. If you’re feelin’ a little extra, the Mediterranean Chicken in Pesto Asiago Sauce is creamy, dreamy, and totally restaurant-worthy.

For lighter bites, I’m obsessed with the Greek Chickpea Salad and the Mediterranean Pasta Salad with Lemon-Oregano Vinaigrette—both are bright, fresh, and ridiculously good with grilled anything. And don’t sleep on Greek Style Orzo, which makes the perfect side for just about everything. Want something handheld and hearty? The Loaded Greek Chicken Burgers are juicy, herby, and totally piled high with flavor.

And let’s talk about that Mediterranean Olive & Herb Quick Bread. It’s savory, fluffy, and has just the right amount of briny kick from the olives. Slice it up next to a bowl of Balsamic Caprese Salad, or serve it with Mediterranean Chicken Pizza (yes, pizza) for the ultimate flavor-packed night in. Everything’s super flexible, super tasty, and just begging to be part of your next weeknight dinner or lazy weekend feast.
